The Peterborough 100 is creeping up on us…
It is time to build up that stamina and cardio again. With the excesses of Christmas still hanging on, it is time to get svelt. Ok hilarious, it is time to train. Hoping the wind is kinder this year. The Chatty Pelaton are entering in true professional force. Well we are all talk anyway…
The hotel is booked, the training miles are starting to accumulate. The post ride analysis bar side is going exceptionally well so lets see how we do.
We like this ride because it is well supported, beautiful scenery and has nice stops. The village halls stocked to the brim with cakes, tea, biscuits and happy volunteers. Much like a sweaty lycra christening.
This is what the organisers of the Peterborough 100 say:
“A stunning April ride out – choose your distance from 46 miles to 100 miles. Head into the Cambridgeshire countryside on the Peterborough 100 charity cycling sportive and crank up the miles amid stunning scenery. The quiet lanes of the surrounding counties serve up a mixture of climbs and descents with ample opportunity to push it on the flat! Now firmly established on the UK cycling calendar, this epic bike ride is a great way to keep in shape and show your support for children’s charity Action Medical Research.
Take on the Cool 46 mile route; ideal if you’re new to cycling or haven’t been on the bike for a while. The Classic 64 mile route presents a stiffer challenge along with the Champion route at 101 miles that is ideal if you’re an experienced and sportive cyclist.
You can expect a great day in the saddle with Action Medical Research on this cycling event with first class support throughout the day.”
